Having been raised in a rural setting on the family farm in Southeast Oklahoma, Stephen comes from a strong farming and ranching background. As a youth, he was active in 4-H and FFA, serving as president of his local FFA chapter his senior year in high school. His parents, Utah and Wanda, continue to raise black angus cattle in Bryan County, Oklahoma.
In 2012 he and his wife Gina moved to Delaware County, living on the Grand Lake of the Cherokees, a beautiful lake nestled in Northeast Oklahoma. Since then he and his wife have moved back to their roots, now living on a small farm just south of Grand Lake.
Stephen also serves as a commissioned chaplain for both the Grove Police Department and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office. Stephen married his high school sweetheart, Gina Martin, in 1982. They have two grown children and four grandchildren: daughter Cara Hobbs and her husband Daniel, who live in Broken Arrow, OK have two sons, two-years-old and under; son Austin Nation and his wife Amanda, who live near Spavinaw, OK, have two daughters, two-years-old and under.
Stephen received his undergraduate degree from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His graduate degree in Human Resource Administration was earned from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Having been licensed in real estate since 2010, Stephen will bring his expertise to Northeast Oklahoma with experience in both the lake and rural markets, especially those within the various lake communities, as well as the farm, ranch, and hunting properties that are highly sought after in the area.
